Question by stonecoldshot2: What certain physical features do baseball scouts look for in amateur players?
I was recently reading an article on how certain scouts and teams wouldn’t sign a player with blue eyes. Apparently, players with blue eyes tend to have worse vision and can’t see as well in the day than those with brown eyes (for example, Josh Hamilton). Another certain feature I read about that certain scouts look at is facial hair. For example, if an 18 year old has full facial hair means he has completely matured. So I was wondering, what other certain physical features do baseball scouts look at while scouting an amateur player?

Scouts look for players who are willing to learn and are coachable.You can have all
the physical skills in the world but if you have an ego or think you are the greatest
thing since sliced bread you probably won’t get a second look.Mind you I am not
talking about players having confidence.Just the ones who assume they are to good
to fail.
